The MoistureScan EX II from Döscher & Döscher, is a special version of the MoistureScan–with all the same benefits, such as fast and precise measurement. The MoistureScan EX II is suitable for the continuous measurement and determination of water content in materials. The Flange of the sensor is mounted inside the side wall of a bin; the project-lateral sensor surface may be established within Zone 20 for high-combustible environments, which require equipment of the category 1D. The MoistureScan EX II fulfills the fundamental safety and health requirements for the design and fabrication of devices and protective systems, to the intended use, within explosive environments (in accordance with appendix II of the guidelines of the advice of the European community of 23.3.1994 (94/9/EG). The fundamental safety and health requirements are fulfilled by agreement with ED 5028-1-1-1:1998+A1 and EN1127-1:1997). The procedure of the MoistureScan EX II determines the change of two physical dimensions: Resonant Frequency and Amplitude. With this two-parameter, Microwave Measuring procedure, the measurement is independent of material compaction Density and Layer thickness. MoistureScan EX II makes continuous moisture measuring possible during production conditions. The system collects all necessary data and makes it available to the process control operator. Minimum calibrations, high measuring accuracy and long-term stability make the MoistureScan EX II a reliable control device. The SensorHead is installed through a containment wall and the water content is measured directly in the product stream. MoistureScan EX II makes accurate processing and reliable quality assurance possible - which leads to optimum economic value by preventing expensive production, over-drying, stops, rejections and complaint costs.
