The VenScan is a non-contact, continuous and automated system that measures the moisture of wood strips, sheets, and panels. Designed for industrial applications in the textile, wood, and paper industries, the VenScan makes accurate measurement both consistent and reliable.

The VenScan non-contact measuring system is comprised of two SensorHeads, a cabinet, and a terminal. The SensorHeads are installed opposite each other and at a fixed distance on the production line. The product to be measured is fed through the gap between the Sensor Heads, where the electromagnetic field is established. As the product passes through the VenScan, the characteristics of the electromagnetic field change. Those changes are then analyzed to determine Moisture Content.

The electromagnetic fields between the SensorHeads themselves are identical enabling accurate product measurement inside the sensor gap, regardless of spatial position. Furthermore, even materials moving quickly down the line can be measured accurately and reliably due to the VenScans high measuring frequency.

The measuring process itself happens in a fraction of a second, does not heat the product, and is not affected by the Density or thickness of the product. The VenScan is a low maintenance, non-contact, highly accurate and stable measuring system that comes backed with fast and reliable customer service from Doscher & Doscher.
