The Patented PowerSonicResonance (PSR) Delamination Detection System: ULTRA-SCAN uses the PSR method to detect delaminations with ultrasound. The ULTRA-SCAN has several detection channels mounted across the panel width. PSR results in an energy penetration output that is 100-x stronger, which eliminates disturbing external influences.

 

Design of the ULTRA-SCAN protects the system against external influences such as noise (from sanders, saws, and compressed air), heat, and dust. Therefore, the actual location of the ULTRA-SCAN system can be next to the trim saw or even the sander since strong external noise and vibrations do not impact the results. The strong ultrasound signal of the ULTRA-SCAN creates a multi-color sound picture. This makes it possible to recognize changes of the panel properties. The sound picture recognizes variations of the Moisture Content, Density, thickness and temperature.

 

ULTRA-SCAN can also be used for Blow detection near the panel edges because there is no sound traveling around the edges.

 

Due to the modular design, the ULTRA-SCAN system can easily be extended to add thickness measuring on the same frame, which saves physical space, time & money.
